Overview

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Audience Recruitment Specialist to support our North America events team. Your primary focus will be finding the right people to invite to IDC events — from tech conferences to executive roundtables — and making sure our contact databases are accurate, organized, and ready to use.

This is a hands-on, operational role that suits someone who enjoys research, data, and working as part of a collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing

Inviting the Right People to IDC Events

  • Research and identify potential attendees for IDC events based on industry, job title, company size, and location
  • Reach out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, and phone to invite them to register
  • Send confirmation and decline emails to registrants and manage attendee lists
  • Track outreach progress and flag gaps in audience coverage to the team

Database Search & List Building

  • Build prospect lists using our internal databases, LinkedIn, and other approved research tools
  • Source new contacts and companies that match event targeting criteria across the US and broader North America
  • Ensure all sourced data is relevant and complete before adding it to the database

Database Management & Data Cleaning

  • Keep contact records clean, accurate, and up to date — including names, job titles, emails, and company details
  • Remove duplicates and outdated records on a regular basis
  • Organize and segment data by industry, job function, seniority, and region to support specific campaigns

What We're Looking For

  • Some experience in audience development, lead generation, database management, or event support — B2B experience is a plus
  • Good research skills and a sharp eye for data accuracy
  • Comfortable working with Excel for tasks like filtering, sorting, removing duplicates, and basic formulas (VLOOKUP is a bonus, not a must)
  • Exposure to a CRM or marketing database is helpful, but we're happy to train the right person
  • A quick learner who takes initiative and picks up new tools and processes easily
  • Good written communication skills in English
  • Able to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines
