Overview

IDC is seeking a Market Research Analyst, Consumer to join the Consumer Devices team in Brazil.

As the leader of a vital research product in Brazil, you will be able to talk and generate influence with the most important executives of some of the most relevant tech companies. In addition, you will be the center of local knowledge for other IDC folks, global clients, and even journalists interested in a deep dive into the local Brazilian market dynamics and future trends.
This person will handle monthly reports and custom projects in addition to the regular quarterly reports, which are the local part of the global report. Working mostly in studies of Mobile Phones, Wearables and AR/VR.

This role utilizes a hybrid work environment. Greater Sao Paulo is preferred, and other locations within Brazil are acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary market research to gather and analyze data for consumer devices sales, trends, and market conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor products, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all program deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Design and implement surveys to collect primary data from consumers.
  • Utilize statistical methods and tools to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop market forecasts and predictive models to anticipate future trends and consumer behavior.
  • Maintain and update databases with relevant market data and research findings.
  • Collaborate with product development and data engineering to align research process with business strategies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of market research analyst experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of economic principles and their application to market analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and methodologies to interpret data accurately, including regression analysis, building predictive models using machine learning techniques such as linear regression, decision trees, and clustering algorithms.
  • Ability to use Python for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy and Plotly.
  • Ability to use Power Bi for data analysis, including queries and design presentations.
  • Excellent analytical skills to dissect complex data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent skills in English reading and writing as well as intermediate level of Spanish for internal communication with the regional teams.

This position offers a compensation between R$10,000 and R$10,500 / month (gross) plus company benefits.
