Overview

IDC is looking for an Account Executive who will focus on selling IDC’s research products to prospects and existing accounts. This position will be based in Mexico City, only.

Responsibilities

  • The Account Executive will be responsible for generating revenue in both renewal and new sales, and consulting opportunities to prospects and existing accounts.
  • As a member of a collaborative team, the Account Executive will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong relationships with individuals across IDC. 
  • The individual will prospect for incremental opportunities, follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information and/or problems, and continue to enhance the client value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong telephone cold calling experience preferred. Prior experience selling an intangible product or service is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing existing accounts and developing high level relationships.
  • Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker.
  • This position requires strong time management and organization skills.
  • Prior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required.

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified Latam region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between MX$650,000 and MX$700,000/Year and is inclusive of base salary plus variable compensation.
